Jane Fassel was born in Spokane, Washington and raised in Littleton, Colorado. Her career in banking took her to California, where she retired after thirty-five years in the industry.   Free from work, Jane took several art classes including painting, ceramics, stained glass and 3D design. After retirement, she and her husband Bob, relocated to Naches in 2009. 

 

For the first year, Jane was busy designing and acting as the general contractor for their new home. She has since concentrated her efforts on what she considers her second career; her art. She works from her home studio and gains inspiration from the natural surroundings she encounters during her many hikes and cycling trips. Jane has won awards for her stained glass, oil paintings and ceramics, on which she spends most of her time and is best known for her naked raku.
