Janet Buege

Janet Buege has, since a young age, found that creating art in some fashion has been one of her most natural talents. By obtaining her Fine Arts Degree from Pacific Lutheran University, that cemented for her a long career of very diverse applications of art and creative endeavors. Most recently, her focus has evolved into works done with acrylic on small canvas, utilizing and integrating into the artwork, a treasure of small pebbles collected from north Washington beaches. Prior to this new focus, Janet has produced for decades, a broad range of creative arts which include residential and commercial interior design, graphic design and illustration, and commissioned paintings for individuals and businesses. Since 1985, Janet has and continues to provide display and merchandise design for a legendary and longstanding retail establishment in Yakima; Fiddlesticks. She and her husband of 43 years have two grown daughters in professional careers. Besides her creative endeavors, Janet is a vocalist in a local semiprofessional vocal ensemble; Canticus. She also enjoys making time for bicycling, golfing and snow skiing.
