Holly Mahre

Holly Mahre has always been interested in art and knew she would be connected to the art world in some form or another. She pursued a degree in graphic design at Arizona State University. Holly looks at life with an artist’s eye and finds photography, painting, and illustration rewarding outlets. Her work with metal has evolved over the years as she has discovered its versatile secrets. Re-purposing, reusing, and bringing new life to cast off bits of steel, brass and copper previously intended for industry or common materiality is something that excites her and has stretched her thinking in its manipulation. Holly’s motto is “The rustier, the better!”
